His expertise extends to areas such as Social and Rural Development, Food Security, Climate Change, Value Chain Management, and Agricultural Enterprise Development. His tenure as the Provincial Transfer of Technology & Training Expert within the federally funded Special Program for Food Security & Productivity Enhancement for Small Farmers, Crop Maximization Project-II, exemplifies his transformative impact. Here, he played a pivotal role in curriculum design and the development of training materials, equipping village organizations, small farmers, and project staff with the knowledge and skills needed for growth. These efforts were instrumental in promoting the Farmers Field School (FFS) approach.
Presently, Dr. Kumbhar holds the esteemed position of Professor, Researcher, and Education Extension Specialist at Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam. In this capacity, he plays a pivotal role in imparting education in various agricultural and rural management disciplines. His expertise extends to effective communication and agri-enterprise development, with a particular focus on nurturing youth entrepreneurs and championing sustainable development.
Dr. Kumbhar’s stature is underscored by his membership and active participation in prestigious professional organizations, including the Senate of Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam (SAU), the Alumni Association of SAU Tandojam, and the Board of Directors of Sindh Agriculture Forestry Coordinating Organization (SAFWCO), Research and Development Foundation (RDF), Management and Development foundation (MDF), among others. In his current role as Director of University Advancement and Financial Assistance, Dr. Kumbhar serves as a linchpin, coordinating and acting as a focal point for a diverse array of local and international programs. These include the ASLP Projects, USAID Projects, SAGP Word Bank Growth Project, HEC (BIC) Project, and Bilateral Linkages, all of which have been instrumental in forging strong partnerships with national and international entities across the public and private sectors.
